Claessens' #13 Double Oil Primed Belgian Linen is mounted to the panel using a reversible conservator's adhesive. The linen is double primed with zinc-white and linseed oil, and then coated with titanium white. The linen is adhered to the panel using Beva which is an art conservation adhesive. The Beva forms an acrylic waterproof barrier between the painting and the panel. The painting on linen can be removed from the panel in the future if ever needed.

Linen mounted panels lie perfectly flat with crisp clean edges that are perfectly straight and square. Art Boards™ linen panels have a clean precise presence unlike the look and feel of canvas over stretchers. The linen surface remains stable with no fluctuation. There is no movement or bounce with the artists brushwork.

The rigid panel protects the painting from damage, which prevents the linen from being dented, punctured, or torn. The linen board keeps paint films from flexing and cracking by eliminating movement. 

Art Boards™ Linen Panels are formaldehyde free. There is no formaldehyde added to any of the materials, which means no outgassing onto the art, or the interior environment.

Paintings hang secure and flush on the wall. The back of the painting panel has recessed hanging slots which allows paintings to be hung flush on the wall with or without framing.
